The Trunk Space is a Valley favorite for cutting-edge entertainment, spanning a wide variety of musical and theater genres. The room is big enough only for a small stage, but people cram in to hear their favorite indie acts, both on the local and national scene, including Miniature Tigers and Kimya Dawson. The Trunk Space also hosts improv, experimental-theater, belly-dancing and burlesque performances. Plus, it boasts a coffee and snack bar, a clothing and art shop, and one of the Valley’s only old-school black-and-white photo booths. The vibe here is laid-back and friendly, so if you come alone, it’s easy to meet people.
