Want a trashier side of Scottsdale? Head to American Junkie, where the décor includes an oversize portrait of a bikini-clad, tattooed woman, skateboards mounted the walls, graffiti-style art and a massive Junkie Wheel, which patrons spin to win free booze, or, if unlucky, a kick out the door. Flat-screen TVs hang everywhere, and on weekdays, American Junkie serves dinner from 4 to 10 p.m., a mix of sandwiches, burgers and pizza. On weekends, it's open at 10:30 a.m. for day drinking, lunch, dinner and, after 10 p.m., late-night eats until midnight.
