I've been going to Casey Moore's for years. On any given night, it's not surprising to run into friends at this neighborhood favorite, which has been immortalized in AZ-formed band Jimmy Eat World's song, "if you don't, don't" ("ninth and ash on a tuesday night" ... aka the cross streets of Casey Moore's). I love this place because it's laid-back, everyone is nice, the beers are affordable ($4.50 for a Black Velvet), the food is delicious (try the fried zucchini) and the vibe just says, "Hey, everyone, let's just chill and have a great night!" My piece of advice would be find a table on the large L-shaped patio and sit outside. That's where the scene truly is. Inside, the bar is noisy and packed, but it's part of the charm. There are rumors that the house is haunted - so maybe you'll have a ghost sighting.
