With dark stone walls, oversize couches and lighting that’s just shy of pitch-black, Kazimierz is a gorgeous, low-key place perfect for romantic dates and post-dinner drinks. Past a backdoor entrance that reads, “The Truth Is Inside” (a play on “in vino veritas,” Latin for “In wine there is truth”), you’ll walk into the room illuminated by candles and whatever light makes it in through the stained-glass windows. Kaz is stocked with thousands of bottles from more than 40 countries, including Serbia, Romania and Austria, and it often updates its generous appetizer offerings (ranging from flatbread pizzas to cheese plates).
