If you've ever wondered what authentic sangria is supposed to taste like, this is it. With so many off-the-shelf, wanna-be versions, it can be daunting to decipher the best from the barely-there. Yet this ultra-fruity family recipe was brought stateside in the 1950s straight from Cuba. Fresh citrus fruits marinate overnight in a blend of Cabernet and Merlot. It's garnished with an apple slice and served by the glass or pitcher with a warm, proud smile.
The Price: $7.50
The Magic: Secret blend of fruit juices, Cabernet and Merlot, on the rocks.
