Celtic-themed sports bar The Tilted Kilt says it all with either one of their two mottos: "The best looking sports pub you've ever seen." or "A cold beer never looked so good." What began as a gimmick in Vegas at The Rio Hotel and Casino, has turned into a national phenomenon with franchises open from California to Florida, and ones in the Valley in Mesa, Peoria, Scottsdale and Tempe. There's an impressive selection of draught beer and better-than-average pub food, but you can be certain that the gentlemen aren't going just for that. The ladies are dressed in company issued ultra-short plaid skirts, knee-high socks and plaid bras barely covered by a white button-down shirt cinched above the waist. Although there are numerous flat-screen televisions with the latest games throughout the bar, it's a pretty safe bet that patrons are barely watching the game.
