Mojito at Havana Café

It's only appropriate the classic mojito at Cuban restaurant Havana Cafe (with three locations) makes the list—the strong drink, which is modeled after Ernest Hemingway's favorite recipe back at La Bodeguita in Cuba, is super-popular with customers. It's also very saccharine, made with white rum, fine sugar, bitters, lime wedges and juice and mint leaves, then topped with club soda. Havana Cafe owners B.J. and Gilbert Hernandez chose Hemingway's recipe for the sugary taste, noting that drinks in Latin America, Cuba and Brazil tend to be sweet. "(Our mojito) is very smooth, is sweet and has a good flavor because we use fresh lime juice and fresh mint," B.J. says.
