Hurricane Bay's official grand reopening celebration was Saturday, June 6, 2009. The party was hosted by Nik Richie of thedirty.com. Hurricane Bay unveiled its upscale remodel complete with new private cabanas, VIP tables and bottle service, and upgraded lights and sound.
