At this spacious Downtown bar, the sound system is state-of-the-art, bumping Latin Top 40, salsa and Spanish pop. Drawing an ethnically diverse crowd of cowboys, downtowners and club kids, Karamba is a hotspot on Vaquero Thursdays, which boasts a Latin cowboy stage show and $3 pitchers of beer. Get out your white Stetsons. On Vertigo Fridays, man-candy dancers rile up the dance floor as the club stays open after hours and opens up to those 18 and older. Arguably the most fun you'll have at any gay dance club in the Valley, 'Out' ranked Karamba as one of 2007's 50 top gay bars...in the world.
Cherry Bomb is a dance party for women the first Thursday of every month at Rogue Bar. The jet black and hot pink interior of Rogue Bar is the perfect punk setting for an 80's/electro/rock party. Cherry Bomb Thursdays host live girl bands and fresh local female DJs. Ultra femme, pink and screaming rock and roll—Cherry Bomb draws out some of the hippest ladies in the Valley.
This Old Town Scottsdale party spot is known for its friendly bartenders and a young, largely male crowd. Break it down on the dance floor with gyrating lover boys at this newly remodeled two-story club, home to the winner of getoutaz.com 2007's Hottest Bar Staffer of the year contest. The rowdy video bar is casual, but trendy, as fashions are less Gucci, more Abercrombie & Fitch. Weekdays, the bar packs them in early with two-for-one drink specials from 2-8 p.m. But Wednesday nights are the big nights out, as that drink special goes until last call. And Thursday's Karaoke is a must-visit for a chance to sing on one of the most-updated, dance-friendly song list in the Valley.
At this trendy, mostly male dance club sample sexy martinis from the custom list with names like Sexy Salsa Secret, $10, and Naked Poolside,$8. Located in Scottsdale's former Anderson's 5th Estate, this expansive club just remodeled and has been crowded on the weekends since. On Friday and Saturday nights, you can dance on either of the two large dance floors with different DJs spinning hip-hop and Top 40 beats. Thursday nights are "Lips" ladies night, when lesbians can indulge in signature $5 Forbidden-tinis and $3 Bud Lights.
Calling all the ladies, who love the ladies. Z-Girl is an upscale, elegant club for well-heeled women who want to shake their booties. Mondays 8 p.m. to midnight sip on cool, Cuervo margaritas for $3. Friday and Saturday night DJ Domenica spins a mix of hip-hop and Top 40 that will send you running for the dance floor. Or, take a break from the high-energy beats and cozy up on a love seat in the swanky lounge area.
Club Vibe is the one of the Valley's most popular lesbian dance clubs. Club Vibe's mantra, "dancing and drinking required," probably has something to do with it being voted "Best Lesbian Bar" in the Valley several times. Intimate, 6-foot tall black vinyl VIP booths, and a crowd of young, sexy ladies will have you hot and ready to let loose. Gaze at scantily clad go-go dancers on Fridays while sipping down $2 well vodka drinks from 8 p.m. to midnight.
This crowded urban hot spot is the perfect place to dance until tomorrow, as the liquor stops flowing at 2 a.m. but the dance party continues after hours until 4 a.m. Incognito bumps hip-hop and caters to a (mostly female) culturally diverse crowd. Be prepared to get a sexy sweat on.
