Macayo's

The restaurant’s decor is bright and fun, right down to the servers’ colorfully patterned shirts. Try the restaurant’s specialty, a beef, chicken or carnitas chimichanga, and pair it with a strong house margarita.

If you’re in the mood for something a little more white-bread, it also offers an array of steaks, burgers and sandwiches on the “Gringo Menu.” The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to midnight and also serves cocktails and food at the pool, which has been named one of Phoenix’s best.

Arcadia Farms at the Heard is almost two miles from this spot. Use the McDowell stop instead, then head north about one-third mile.
