The competition was fierce at Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest Qualifier at the Arizona Mills Mall food court on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The winner won the title of Arizona Hot Dog Eating Champion and the opportunity to compete in the Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, N.Y. on July 4. Competitors had to wolf down as many hot dogs as possible in a 10-minute span.
