We came. We saw. We geeked out.
Comic book geeks, cosplay freaks and a couple of people who actually might not live in their parents' basement descended upon San Diego over a long weekend to celebrate all things caped, wanded and lightsabered at the annual Comic-Con International Convention.
This year's most popular costumes included Captain America, Angry Birds, characters from the "Harry Potter" universe, and heroes and villains from a little film franchise called "Star Wars" (never heard of it). We also spotted a Samurai Homer, homemade Captain EO and perhaps the least convincing Marty McFly and Doc Brown combo we've ever seen—all of whom make cameo appearances in our gallery.
