If you need a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown Phoenix, head to the Japanese Friendship Garden, a beautiful area featuring more than 50 types of plants, plus koi fish and a waterfall. The garden hosts traditional Japanese tea ceremonies the second Saturday of every month. Admission is free from 4-7 p.m. the first Friday of each month, so head here before you start the First Fridays art walk.
