Looks like the success of Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina encouraged more teens to try out for American Idol this season.
"We have more kids going through to Hollywood than ever before, because the talent was that good," Idol producer Ken Warwick told an audience at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour Sunday in Los Angeles.
