Golden Globe awards 2012: Best and worst

Ricky Gervais was back for his third consecutive year hosting the Golden Globe Awards on NBC. He wasn't exactly tame (joking about "Jodie Foster's 'Beaver'" and getting bleeped late in the show for dropping a f-bomb), but his performance had nothing on his controversial stint last year.
Instead of Scientology and nominated films, he saved his sharpest barbs for easier, safer targets like Kim Kardashian ("The Golden Globes are to the Oscars what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton: a bit louder, a bit trashier, a bit drunker, and more easily bought.") and Justin Bieber ("Justin Bieber nearly had to take a paternity test. What a waste of a test that would've been. No, he's not the father. The only way he could've impregnated a girl was if he borrowed one of Martha Stewart's old turkey basters."). Still funny, but not as edgy.
