Meryl Streep can do (and say) whatever she wants
After starting with a joke—"When Ricky Gervais' deal fell through, and they came to me to play Margaret Thatcher..."—Streep let out an bleeped expletive when she realized she forgot to bring her glasses to the stage and had to remember her speech.
She proceeded to namecheck not only her fellow nominees, but also women not nominated for their 2011 film performances (including "Pariah" star Adepero Oduye), referred to "Iron Lady" distributor Harvey Weinstein as God and thanked the people of England for letting her "trample all over their history."
She's Meryl Streep, no one's gonna question it.
