"The Hurt Locker" (producers, Kathryn Bigelow, Mark Boal, Nicolas Chartier and Greg Shapiro)
None of the producers had been nominated for Oscars prior to this year. Bigelow and Boal also collected Oscars for their work as the film's director and screenwriter, respectively.
Shapiro also produces the "Harold and Kumar" franchise, while the relatively inexperienced Chartier found himself in hot water for sending e-mails to Oscar voters encouraging votes for "Locker" and not blockbuster competitor "Avatar." Chartier was not permitted to attend the Oscar ceremony because of that.
