Better described as: This young band reminds us of other pop-rock acts such as Cute Is What We Aim For and All Time Low .

Behind the name: Kitlas' sister was born in Ann Arbor, Mich., and she was the first person to introduce her brother to rock n' roll. He suggested the name, and the rest of the band went with it.

If you have two minutes to check out the band's MySpace page, listen to this: "Let the Games Begin" tells the story of a shady girl playing two boys, including the singer. The song's catchy, and you know it's good because MTV's "The Hills" featured it.

Currently working on: The band is busy touring with bands like Forgive Durden and The Cab, and they're also playing a few Vans Warped Tour dates. Anarbor is promoting their current seven-song EP, "Free Your Mind," and goes into the studio this September to record a full-length album with all brand-new songs.

Music is . . . : "It's a way to express how I'm feeling and what I'm going through," Echeverria says. "I feel like it gives you a way to connect to people. We're all going through the same things as we're getting older, and the same scenarios we all have to deal with. It's something that connects you with all these people who are different, but we're all going through the same thing."
