Since Orpheum Theatre, built in 1927, underwent a $14 million restoration in 1984, it has seen a wide variety of shows, ranging from national musicals to Phoenix Metropolitan Opera programs to concerts by pop bands such as the Format. The small venue seats about 1,500 and is decorated in a Spanish Baroque style, retaining a vintage feel.
