Whether a band's singing about a blind pinball player or an alien rockstar or a robot-battling supergirl, there's nothing better than a good concept album. Done right, it can invigorate a stuttering career; done wrong, it can unseat you from atop of the charts and earn you snarky criticism from Rolling Stone.
