Did you know Arizona invented root beer? It’s true. Roy Allen, the owner of the original root beer stand that would become A&W purchased the formula for his root beer from a pharmacist in, yup that’s right, Arizona. So the next time you’re in one of the Valley’s A&W restaurants enjoying one of their burgers, chicken or hot dogs, be sure to exclaim it loudly. Root beer? Totally ours.
