Cracker Barrel seems like a little store and restaurant you’d see only on a road trip. Its home-style cooking and mom-and-pop feel make every store feel unique, even though there are eight Valley locations. Before heading to the restaurant, peruse the country shop, with jams, candles and other kitschy items you really don’t need but will want to purchase anyway. Then dig in to tasty, hearty portions of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, burgers and meatloaf. If Mom isn’t close enough to make you a home-cooked meal, Cracker Barrel is a great substitution.
