A leather-tiled bar dominates the downstairs dining room at this swanky Japanese eatery. A massive chunk of burled wood from Cambodia anchors the bar, where you can order Red Sun beer. Above the bar, the vaulted ceiling is painted pearlescent black; the rest of the ceiling is done in teak to match the floors. Another must-see element: Placemats at the oval, 17-person sushi bar are made from stingray skin, a leather that looks as though it has been studded with fine crystals. It makes for a knowing style statement that's terribly luxurious.
