Expect huge portions and lots of leftovers if you eat at Ajo Al’s, a local chain with four Valley locations. The casual restaurant serves up traditional Sonoran-style food, including pollo con queso ($11.95), a chicken-stuffed burro; and build-your-own combination plates that may include items ranging from cheese enchiladas to papa jack flautas to pork tamales. Ajo Al’s also is open for breakfast from 7:30-11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays, offering egg and burrito dishes that are just as filling as the dinner options.
