Bista’s grocery aisles are stocked with a dozen made-on-premises sausages, several types of ham, homemade salads and bottled beers from Eastern Europe, all at prices so low you'd think Bista's hijacked a Polish food truck. The Polish fare in the restaurant area is so authentic that you may want to pay in zlotys. Look for hearty soups, including borsch and mushroom; entrees such as trio of stuffed cabbage, schnitzels and Mama’s Favorite, roast beef in a light egg batter; and scrumptious desserts such as apple cake, cheese Danish and paczki, deep-fried pastries with fruit filling.
