Part of the La Grande Orange/Postino stable, this bustling place does everyday fare in a big way: Fish tacos, pan-fried chicken, short-ribs hash and pan-seared salmon keep the crowds coming. The patio is one of the best in the Valley, with gorgeous light-wood decking, tiered planters filled with vines and bright flowers, and a view of the canal and all the lush greenery surrounding it. The crowd is more sophisticated, skewing around 25 and older, and the menu notes that cellphones and anything deemed “canal wear” are unwelcome. (No word on what canal wear is — perhaps a life preserver? Running shorts?) But it's not a snobby restaurant and bar, just an upscale one.
