When Daily Dose opened in October in Old Town Scottsdale, it was positioned as an affordable, approachable, all-day dining experience that its owners, Matt and JenLyn Long, were hoping would become a regular habit (thus the name).

Emphasis on "all day."

Well, like any good addiction, it's been taking a while to form.

First, DD debuted for just breakfast and lunch, while liquor license issues were unraveled. Now, the cozy restaurant has its license and has expanded to dinner service, but the evening menu is still in the works.

For now, the Longs are simply sending out the lunch offerings of burgers and sandwiches until 10 p.m., like an Old Town Stack with shaved prime rib and sweet potato fries, a mahi mahi club, and the Daily Dose bacon cheeseburger of Australian Kobe with harissa aioli on a Peruvian bun.

Yet the libations are solid, including 28 bottled beers, 20 wines by the glass and a full bar. Check out the happy hour, running from 2 to 7 p.m. weekdays with specials on margaritas, sangria and such.
