Hanny's scores major bonus points for ambiance. The old department store-turned-bar/restaurant is hip, sophisticated and modern in only the way a downtown venue can be. Some nights they have popular local DJs spinning vibey lounge music, other nights the place fills up with people grabbing a drink or bite before the symphony or a basketball game. The food is sophisticated and modern, just like the decor. I recommend the bruschetta to start and the panino sandwich (prosciutto, salami, fontina cheese, and arugula on Italian bread brushed with olive oil) as the main entree. It's extremely delicious. Select a wine from their extensive list to complement your meal.
