Keen to find a ratings heir to the aging “Desperate Housewives,” ABC plans to mix up the show’s premise with “Charmed” in a dark comedy about suburban witches. Based on the supremely bizarre 1987 film “The Witches of Eastwick,” the title-abbreviated series sees Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price and Jamie Ray Newman filling the shoes of Michelle Pfeiffer, Susan Sarandon and Cher.
Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC
