It doesn't HAVE to be "Snottsdale"..
So..Scottsdale is all about velvet ropes, expensive cars, and cosmetic surgery? Well, there is plenty of that but actually, golddiggers and 30,000 millionaires are thankfully the minority. To keep it real, here's a few places to go. (more to come..)

Frasher's Steakhouse & Lounge -
2122 N. Scottsdale Road - Scottsdale
Report this commentGreat food at a reasonable price and great service. Cool tunes and a "Dungeon" for a cozy little rendezvous. The staff always makes you feel like you're at home and George Frasher himself, always finds the time to shake the hands of his patrons. Always..

AZ88 turns 20
Beth Duckett - November 17, 2008
Report this comment20 years old.. which means AZ88 has been doing the whole martini thing long before the blueprints were created for the many contemporaries that now surround it. Consistent food quality and fair pricing are always a standard. Combine that with ever-changing artistic installations (mindblowing trees during Xmas season) cool grooves, and an almost speakeasy sort of location, AZ88 is just plain cool. Don't hate it because it's beautiful..

Hotel Valley Ho -
6850 E. Main St. - Scottsdale
Report this commentRetro styled and full of history, the Valley Ho has a certain Phoenician charm (no pun intended). Stylish and modern without being extravagant or stuffy, the Ho is a great relaxing value. Most of all, the staff on property is always kind and courteous and never makes you feel as if you have to be a celebrity to be treated well.

Orange Table -
7373 E. Scottsdale Mall, Suite 6 - Scottsdale
Report this commentOrange Table is the very definition of fresh food. The menu is eclectic and interesting and one could not go wrong with any of the items. And the burgers are nothing short of awesome. The small and quaint eatery has the feel of a laidback Tucson "Cup Cafe" type of vibe sans the 150 mile drive.
